Navigate to the "Customers" page within the app.
Click the "Import barcodes" button in the top right corner of the page.
Add a CSV file of the required format in the opened window.
Click the "Import barcodes" button in the bottom right corner of the opened window.
The first column from the left should contain a unique customer reference, such as Shopify customer ID. However, emails, phone numbers or full names may also work as long as they are unique and exactly match the values stored in Shopify.
The second column from the left should contain customers' barcodes.
Only one unique barcode per customer is supported. New imports with previously saved customers or barcodes will overwrite the saved values in the app's database.
The 1st line (used for headers) and empty lines will be ignored.
The customer reference (ID, email, phone number or name) have to exactly match the values in Shopify to be imported.
Microsoft Excel tends to apply some formatting by default, so the underlying values are different than what you see in MS Excel. This is particularly problematic for long numbers (such as IDs) as they tend to be converted to the shorter scientific notation, e.g. 7.39662E+12. I recommend checking the file in a simple text editor (e.g. Notepad) to see the underlying values or use a simpler CSV editor such as Google sheets.
The app will match the customer references in the import with the ones in Shopify. The app will save the customer IDs and the barcode values in the app's database.
You should receive an email with the summary once the import finishes (usually within 10-20 minutes). You can also check the imported barcodes on the "Customers" page in the app.
