This is a new recommended way to add customers to the Shopify POS cart. It works with app-generated barcodes (e.g. ) and existing "custom" barcodes ().

  1. Add the new POS UI extension to the Smart Grid. This step is only needed once.

  1. Open the POS UI extension and simply scan your customer's barcode/QR code using your barcode scanner.

If you see errors when adding/loading the app extension, you may want to reopen or reinstall the Shopify POS mobile app.
